"Must I be a man in a suitcase?"

I woke up at 2 am Utah time today to catch a flight home from Virgina. The positive side is that I should be home in time for lunch with the wife. Yeah!

Rambutan or Lychee?

So according to Wikipedia this is not Lychee - - but the tag says it is. I'll be honest, I've never seen Lychee look like this but it does taste the same. My business partner for this trip called it hairy monkey balls. I'm no expert on Monkey Balls so I'll take his word for it.

I'm on yet another business trip and our hotel is just around the corner from a Chinese Market. My business partner wanted some fresh fruit so we paid the store a visit.

That is where I found these.....and I love Lychees so I bought them. They taste about the same. A little pricey but tasty. I use to eat these fresh from a members tree when I served my mission.

And this is what the fruit looks like on the inside. Yum!

Brigham - HDR

So Cheri and I started reading about HDR photos. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range Photos. Basically you take a bunch of the same photo at different exposures and then blend the exposures together. You can read more about it on the net - but here is one link - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_dynamic_range_imaging

This was a little test shot we took in Provo the other day.

It should be noted - I should have used a tripod. I don't like the way the building looks. A tripod may have fixed that - I'll need to play some more.

"I’ve had the Time of my Life, And the Life of my Times, In the Company of Fools"

So Friday night Megan, Jessica, Christina and myself went to see Great Big Sea in concert. Who are they you ask? Well a rockin lit
tle bad from Newfoundland. I found them years and years ago by watching a video for Consquence Free. I love lyrics, and the lyrics of that song just spoke to me. It didn't take me very long to get hooked on these guys. Overall - they simply know how to have fun and put on a really entertaining show. Most of their songs are about life in Newfoundland or out on the sea or drinking in a pub.....and I like them.

The concert was held at the Murray Theater....a little theater in Murray Utah that only holds about 300 people. The place was half filled, which was somewhat sad to see, but great for us. We ended up 4 rows back from the stage. Very close, very friendly. The crowd ranges from a few young people to old white haird grandmothers. A rather strange mix.

It was good fun...that was really the bottom line.

Here are the girls just before the concert started. It was a little tough to get a good picture of them at the time.

Afterwards we stopped at the Cheesecake Factory for desert. Why you ask? Well because there is always room and time for Cheesecake!!!
